The original Range Rover Chassis
Just a little more rust....
There are a few pin holes in the bottom after sand blasting.
The front looks OK though.
The rear section will need some welding.
Undercoat in white with chassis black applied to the top.
...and again.. it now looks like it's almost painted. I'll be starting the rebuild soon.
Levelling up the rear cross member.
Once the X-member is level make templates of the plates to weld it to the rear of the chassis.
After it's welded to the chassis the under coat is applied.
Here you can see the overlapping top plates.
The painted chassis
The axles are mounted under the chassis.
The installing of the front radius arms proved to be not as quick as we'd hoped for.
Rear body runners
The gear box is fastened to the engine and it's ready to go in.
In goes the Engine.
Again after the mounting brackets are welded in place.
On goes the bulkhead brakes and clutch
Here you can see that a custom bracket needs to be made to fit the bulkhead to the Rangie mount.
