A very muddy site that I've played at once pictures here. I marshalled an orienteering Yorkshire Off Road Club event on the 10th July 2005 pictures here. courtesy of the Yorkshire Off Road Club. I also set out a trail that took place on the 2nd October 2005 pictures here. Location : Between Doncaster and Barnsley near the villages of South Elmsall and South Kirkby Click hear for a map. Features :- Bomb Holes - ( A very steep drop into a pit usually just larger than a Land Rover with a steep exit ).
- Mud - Boat loads of it and it sticks well.
- Side slopes - enough for several brown trouser moments.
- Water - Several water runs where the water is around head light height. There is however a pond where a club member took in his motor until it went over the bonnet! I'm sure someone can tell me how deep it really is!
- Wooded area - A good section of picking your way though small bomb holes in a twisty wooded run.
- Steep hills - With bomb holes on the way up and down.
Additional Features not related to driving :- Clean toilets. Always an added bonus.
- Pressure washer at the end of the day. You'll need it !!!!
- A camping area.
- A meeting room with a real fire. Just what you need if you are there for the weekend.
Opening times and dates :The site is open alternate weekends. Please checkout their web site for the next opening date and times. Pictures :
